此次研討會舉辦地點由原本的韓國改成台東大學,全球交流活動仍受到COVID-19疫情之影響,雖然外國學者無法親臨現場,仍透過網路視訊軟體做線上報告,讓人在國外的參與學者可以同步做交流。

研討會安排兩場線上的主題演講,第一場是臺灣教育部資訊及科技教育司的郭伯臣司長做分享,介紹臺灣教育中新興科技的執行歷程與研究成果,透過「因材網」適性教學與自主學習平台,讓學生自主學習後老師再做教學,並給予組內共學或是組間共學的機會,借助AI瞭解與分析學童個人化的學習路徑,達到因材施教及因材施測的方式。第二場安排的是紐澤西州立羅格斯大學的學習科學與教育心理學教授Janice Gobert博士,她提到查詢智能輔導系統,讓老師能評估學生的學習狀態與困境,老師可用搭鷹架的方式從旁協助,藉以提升學生的學習成就與老師的教學品質。

本研討會也有接受多位的演講者,做線上或現場的口頭報告,及張貼海報的發表,最後也有安排晚宴,讓參與的各方學者可用多元的方式做學術互動。

  • 與會心得

受到COVID-19疫情之影響,研討會舉辦的方式雖有別以往,大部分用網路視訊的方式做交流,也讓外國學者深深感受到臺灣防疫成功的成果,讓身為臺灣人的我與有榮焉。本人在做口頭論文發表時,現場的聽眾對此研究深感興趣,研討會期間也有與多位學者做學術上的交流,更吸取許多辦理研討會的經驗,相信未來朝陽在辦理SSIM 2021國際研討會時,會有諸多的幫助。

Attending ECEI 2021:

The location of ECEI 2021 was changed from South Korea to Taitung University, Taiwan. Global exchange activities were still affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. Although foreign scholars cannot visit the site in person, they still used online video software to report online, allowing people to stay abroad. Participating scholars could communicate simultaneously.

The conference arranged two online keynote speeches. The first one was shared by Director Guo Bochen from the Department of Information and Technology Education of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, introducing the implementation process and research results of emerging technologies in Taiwan's education. Appropriate teaching through the "Information Network" with the self-learning platform allows students to learn independently after the teacher does the teaching and allows learning in groups or between groups. Use AI to understand and analyze the individualized learning path of students to achieve the goal of education and testing in accordance with their aptitude the way. Dr. Janice Gobert arranged the second session, Professor of Learning Science and Educational Psychology at Rutgers University, New Jersey. She mentioned inquiring about the intelligent tutoring system so that teachers can evaluate students' learning status and difficulties. Teachers can use scaffolding. The way to assist from the side is to enhance the students' learning achievement and the teacher's teaching quality.

This conference also accepted multiple speakers, gave online or on-site oral reports, and poster exhibition. In the end, there was also a dinner party so that all participating scholars could interact with each other in a variety of ways.

Participation Experience 

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, although the conference was held differently, most of them used online video to communicate. It also allowed scholars worldwide to feel Taiwan's epidemic prevention's success profoundly and made me proud as a Taiwanese. When I presented my paper, the audience at the scene was very interested in this research. During the seminar, I also had academic exchanges with many scholars and learned a lot of experience in handling seminars. I believe that this experience will be beneficial for hosting SSIM 2021 at Chaoyang University of Technology.
